Breastfeeding Support

Sometimes a mutually fulfilling breastfeeding relationship may take a little bit of practice, patience and extra effort in the beginning, but most women CAN successfully breastfeed! Counseling and education on breastfeeding is offered by Intuition Birth Services through the following:

• An introduction to breastfeeding is provided as part of the
  6-week childbirth education series.
• Private breastfeeding classes are available, and may be incorporated into a custom curriculum as part of a private childbirth class. Contact Intuition Birth Services for more information on private classes.
• Individual breastfeeding counseling is also included as part of the doula services package. Assistance is provided with breastfeeding immediately after birth, assuming no complications. Support over the phone and at the postpartum visit is also included.

Tara provides these services as Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC).
